About Us
Founded in 1994, Zarqa Private University offers outstanding programmes in humanities and social applied sciences. The university is considered to be one of the most distinguished private universities in Jordan. It provides a wide array of cultural and intellectual activities and is located in Zarqa, 25 Km from Amman, the capital.
The Centre for Teaching Arabic for Non-Native Speakers is one of the pioneer centres of its kind.
This centre was established in 1995 to meet the increasing demand to learn Arabic, which is the sixth international language. Since then the Centre has been attracting students from various nationalities. It has achieved a reputation in teaching Arabic for non-native speakers. The staff of this centre is highly educated, experienced and dedicated. Most teachers have experiences that are as diverse as the centre's international student population. These staff are dedicated to promoting language learning in classrooms and are constantly improving their teaching methodology to connect their instructions to the real world. The syllabus is constantly revised, improved and updated and so is the teaching methodology.
The centre has students from 25 different countries in the world.
